Q8X95A Overview

The Q8X95A is a high-performance 100 Gigabit QSFP28 optical transceiver from HPE, designed for short-range, high-bandwidth data transmission in modern data centre and enterprise network environments. Operating on the 100GBASE-SR4 standard, it uses an 850 nm wavelength over multi-mode fiber and supports distances of up to 100 metres on OM4 fiber. The module utilises an MPO/MTP connector with four parallel lanes, each transmitting at 25 Gbps, ensuring efficient and reliable data throughput.This transceiver is ideal for high-density switching environments, enabling fast interconnects between switches, servers, and storage systems. With hot-swappable capability and built-in digital diagnostics monitoring, it allows easy deployment, real-time performance tracking, and minimal downtime.
