QSFP-100G-SR4 Overview
The Arista Networks is a 100GBASE-SR4 optical transceiver designed for short-range, high-speed connectivity over multi-mode fiber. It uses four parallel optical lanes at 850nm, each running at 25Gbps, to deliver a total of 100Gbps throughput.This module supports distances of up to 100 meters on OM4 fiber (70m on OM3), making it ideal for data centers, rack-to-rack links, and spine-leaf architectures where short-distance high bandwidth is required.It uses an MPO-12 connector (8 active fibers: 4 Tx + 4 Rx), enabling parallel transmission instead of duplex fiber.
