The Cisco is a 10GBase-SR SFP+ optical transceiver designed for short-range data transmission over multi-mode fiber. It operates at an 850nm wavelength and supports distances up to 300–400 meters, making it ideal for data centers and enterprise network environments.This module uses a duplex LC connector and requires two fiber strands for transmit and receive. It is commonly used for 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) applications such as inter-rack and intra-rack connectivity.The transceiver is hot-swappable, allowing easy installation without shutting down network equipment. It also supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM), enabling real-time monitoring of parameters like temperature, voltage, and optical power.
