407-BCIU Overview

The Dell is a 10GBase-SR SFP+ optical transceiver designed for short-range high-speed fiber connectivity. It operates at an 850nm wavelength over multi-mode fiber, supporting distances up to 300–400 meters, making it ideal for data centers and enterprise environments.This module features a duplex LC connector and uses two fiber strands for transmit and receive. It is commonly deployed in 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) networks for inter-switch and server connectivity.The transceiver is hot-pluggable, allowing installation without shutting down equipment, and supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time tracking of parameters like temperature, voltage, and optical power.
