The Intel Xeon 3106 incorporates more processing cores, which helps this microprocessor to process multiple simultaneous threads or programs. A powerhouse in a compact package, it offers maximum scalability, providing everything you need to get started with the Cisco Unified Computing System. Each B200 M5 blade is pre-installed with 64 GB memory across 24 DIMM slots, up to 2 TB of internal storage and up to 80 Gbps of FCoE capable I/O throughput.
The Cisco UCS C220 M4 rack server is a versatile, general-purpose enterprise infrastructure and application server. It is a high-density two-socket enterprise-class rack server that delivers superb performance and efficiency for a wide range of enterprise workloads, including virtualization, collaboration, and bare-metal applications. The Cisco UCS C-series rack servers can be deployed as standalone servers or as part of the Cisco Unified Computing System (Cisco UCS) to take advantage of Cisco’s unified computing technologies that help reduce customers’ total cost of ownership (TCO) and increase their business agility.
The UCS C240 M4 LFF server is the 2-socket, 2U rack server from Cisco, designed for both performance and expandability over a wide range of storage-intensive infrastructure workloads from big data to collaboration. The enterprise-class UCS C240 M4 SFF server extends the capabilities of Cisco’s Unified Computing System portfolio in a 2U form factor with the addition of the Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 series processor family that delivers an efficient combination of performance, flexibility and efficiency gains. In addition, the UCS C240 M4 LFF server provides 24 DIMM slots, 6 PCI Express (PCIe) 3.0 slots, 12 front-loading LFF drives plus two internal SFF SATA boot drives for a total of 14 internal drives. The C240 M4 server includes a modular LAN on motherboard (mLOM) slot for installation of a Cisco Virtual Interface Card (VIC) or third-party network interface card (NIC) without consuming a PCI slot in addition to 2 x 1GbE embedded LOM ports. These features combine to provide outstanding levels of internal memory and storage expandability along with exceptional performance. The Cisco UCS C240 M4 server can be used standalone, or as part of the Cisco Unified Computing System, which unifies computing, networking, management, virtualization, and storage access into a single integrated architecture enabling end-to-end server visibility, management, and control in both bare metal and virtualized environments.
