The Cisco WS-CBS3110G-S-I is a Catalyst Switch Module (CSM) designed specifically for integration with IBM BladeCenter environments, providing enterprise-class switching directly inside the blade chassis. It operates with the IP Base feature set and is engineered to deliver resilient, secure, and high-performance Layer 2 and basic Layer 3 switching capabilities.This module comes with 4 external 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports, allowing flexible connectivity to the external network while providing high-speed, low-latency switching for servers housed within the BladeCenter chassis. The module delivers a 1 Gbit/s switching capacity per port with an internal backplane bandwidth optimized for server-to-server communication inside the blade enclosure.
