The Cisco MDS 9396S (DS-C9396S-K9) is a high-performance storage area network (SAN) switch designed for enterprise data centers and storage networks requiring ultra-reliable, low-latency connectivity. It features 48x SFP+ ports supporting 16/32/64 Gb Fibre Channel and FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet) traffic, all housed in a 2U rack-mountable chassis.As part of the Cisco MDS 9000 Series, this switch provides advanced SAN services including virtualization, security, and high availability. It supports Fabric Shortest Path First (FSPF) routing, VSANs, QoS, and port-channeling, enabling scalable and efficient storage traffic management.
