The Clear Channel DS3/E3 GPIM functions as a clear channel interface that can support DS3 (T3) or E3 line rates of 44.796 or 34.368 Mbps, respectively. The DS3/E3 interface is a popular high-bandwidth WAN interface for large enterprise branch locations that enables high-quality voice, video, and data applications with reduced latency. The clear channel implementation provides such features as subrate and scrambling options used by major DSU vendors. The interface also supports loopback, bit error rate test (BERT), and far-end alarm and control (FEAC) diagnostic capabilities. It supports frame relay, Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP), and High-Speed Data Link Control (HDLC) serial encapsulation protocols.

The is a standalone C-Band two-degree eight channel colorless passive multiplexer/ demultiplexer. It is a rack-mounted module that is installed alongside the TCX1000-RDM20. Each module combines the signals at eight channel input ports (C0 to C7IN ports) and broadcasts the multiplexed signals out of two Line-side direction ports (L0 OUT and L1 OUT) ports. The module also combines the signals at the two Line-side input ports (L0 IN and L1 IN ports) and broadcasts the demultiplexed signals out of eight channel output ports (C0 to C7OUT ports).
