The Cisco is a High-Speed WAN Interface Card designed to integrate switching capabilities directly into Cisco ISR (Integrated Services Routers). It offers 9 Fast Ethernet ports, making it ideal for branch offices or small networks that require both routing and switching in a compact solution. Supporting Layer 2 switching features such as VLAN segmentation, spanning tree protocol, and quality of service, it ensures reliable traffic management. With additional PoE capability (via external power), it can power IP phones or wireless access points, reducing the need for separate power infrastructure.
