NME-X-23ES-1G-P Overview
The Cisco is an EtherSwitch service module designed to extend Cisco modular routers with integrated PoE-enabled switching. It provides 23 autosensing Fast Ethernet ports and one Gigabit Ethernet uplink, offering both desktop connectivity and high-speed backbone access. With PoE support, it powers IP phones, wireless access points, and other PoE devices directly, eliminating the need for additional power injectors. Supporting VLANs and basic Layer 2 features under the Standard Multilayer Image (SMI), it improves traffic management and segmentation in branch or remote networks.
