The Cisco ONS-QSFP28-LR4 is a high-speed 100Gbps optical transceiver module designed for long-reach data transmission in core networks, data centers, and high-performance enterprise environments. Supporting the 100GBase-LR4 Ethernet standard, it enables reliable connectivity over single-mode fiber (SMF) with link distances of up to 10 kilometers.Operating on the 1310nm wavelength range, the module utilizes LAN-WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology, transmitting four lanes of 25Gbps each and multiplexing them into a single 100Gbps data stream.
