CFP-100GBASE-ZR Overview

The Juniper Networks CFP-100GBASE-ZR CFP is a pluggable optical interface transceiver module that offers a host of enterprise-grade technology in a compact form factor. It uses DP-QPSK modulation and coherent receiver technology with an optimized DSP and FEC implementation. This low-power module can be directly retrofitted into existing CFP sockets on MX and PTX routers already deployed in the field without the need for new line cards or PIC/MICs. With the inherent performance and robustness of coherent optics and backwards hardware and software compatibility, the CFP-100GBASE-ZR is a plug and play solution that brings up to 49.7 miles of 100 GbE to MX and PTX-based networks.
