The HP JL293A SFP28 Transceiver Module is a high-speed optical transceiver designed for 25 Gigabit Ethernet applications in enterprise and data center networks. It delivers 25Gbps bandwidth over multi-mode fiber (MMF), supporting link distances up to 100 meters on OM4 fiber and 70 meters on OM3 fiber, making it ideal for short-reach interconnects.Operating at the 850nm wavelength, the JL293A uses an 850nm VCSEL laser for efficient shortwave optical transmission. It incorporates a duplex LC connector, enabling secure and low-loss connectivity while maintaining ease of installation and integration with existing network infrastructure.The module is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3by 25GBase-SR standards and the SFP28 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), ensuring interoperability with HP switches, servers, storage systems, and other MSA-compliant devices.
