708063-001 Overview
The HP 708063-001 is a 24-port 8Gbps Fibre Channel Virtual Connect module built for the HP BladeSystem c-Class server enclosures. Unlike traditional Fibre Channel switches, this module simplifies connectivity by using HP’s Virtual Connect technology, which allows administrators to virtualize server-to-SAN connections. With this design, server profiles can be managed independently of the physical hardware, making it far easier to reassign, replace, or upgrade servers without disrupting the SAN.Each of the 24 Fibre Channel ports provides 8Gbps high-performance connectivity to storage networks, while also offering backward compatibility with 4Gbps and 2Gbps devices.
