AJ820B Overview

The HPE 8/12c Fibre Channel Switch (AJ820B) is an updated blade-integrated SAN switch built for the HPE BladeSystem c-Class environment. It provides 12 Fibre Channel ports with 8Gb/s performance, while also supporting backward compatibility with 4Gb/s and 2Gb/s devices. Designed for efficient, high-bandwidth SAN connectivity inside the BladeSystem chassis, it eliminates the need for external cabling while leveraging shared chassis power and cooling. It delivers advanced SAN features such as zoning, NPIV, and trunking to ensure secure and optimized traffic flow across fabrics. Managed via CLI, Web Tools, SNMP, or integrated through the Onboard Administrator, it offers centralized, simplified management.
