J9088A Overview

The HPE ProCurve J9088A (2610-48) is a 48-port Layer 2/Layer 3 stackable managed Fast Ethernet switch designed for enterprise and branch office networks that require high-density connectivity, advanced management, and flexible uplink options. It provides 48 x 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 ports for connecting end devices such as desktops, IP phones, printers, and access points, making it ideal for large workgroups or wiring closets.In addition to the standard ports, the switch includes 2 expansion slots that support SFP modules, enabling fiber uplinks to core or distribution switches and allowing integration into mixed copper and fiber network environments. The device supports Layer 2 features like VLANs, link aggregation (LACP), Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Quality of Service (QoS).
