N9K-C9516 Overview

The Cisco N9K-C9516 is a highly scalable modular switch chassis from the Nexus 9500 series, designed for large enterprise and data center core networks. With 16 line card slots, it provides massive port density and supports flexible combinations of 1G, 10G, 25G, 40G, and 100G interfaces, depending on the installed modules. Its 21U rack-mountable design also includes dual supervisor slots and six fabric module slots to ensure high resiliency, system redundancy, and nonstop performance. The chassis supports multi-terabit switching capacity, making it suitable for cloud-scale deployments, virtualization, and mission-critical workloads.
