The HP P68518-001 64Gb/s SW Extended Temperature QSFP56 Transceiver is a high-speed optical module engineered for demanding Fibre Channel and storage networking environments. Supporting 64G Fibre Channel (FC) over shortwave multi-mode fiber (MMF), it delivers reliable, low-latency data transfer for high-performance SAN and enterprise applications.Operating at 850nm using a VCSEL laser, the transceiver supports distances of up to 100 meters on OM4 fiber and 70 meters on OM3, making it ideal for short-range interconnects within modern data centers. It uses an MPO connector for high-density connections, enabling efficient cable management and scalability in environments with growing bandwidth needs.The module is fully compliant with Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) standards and ensures interoperability with HP B-Series switches and compatible storage systems.
