The SA3410 from Synology is an enterprise-class, 2U rackmount NAS server featuring 24 hot-swappable 2.5-inch drive bays optimized for high-performance flash and hybrid storage. Powered by an 8-core Intel Xeon D-1541 processor and 16GB of DDR4 ECC Registered memory (expandable to 128GB), it delivers over 356,000 random read IOPS to handle demanding virtualization and database workloads. The system includes dual 10GbE and quad 1GbE ports, alongside two PCIe Gen 3.0 slots for upgrading to 25/40GbE network cards or NVMe cache adapters. Designed for scalability, this diskless base unit supports enterprise SAS and SATA SSDs/HDDs and can expand up to 96 total drive bays by daisy-chaining three RX1222sas expansion units.
