SFP-1G-LX-C Overview

The Juniper Networks SFP-1G-LX-C is a 1Gbps 1000BASE-LX SFP optical transceiver module designed for reliable Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over single-mode fibre (SMF). Operating at a wavelength of 1310nm, it supports transmission distances of up to 10km, making it ideal for long-range network deployments.This module features a duplex LC connector and is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3z standards, ensuring seamless interoperability with compatible Juniper switches, routers, and other MSA-compliant networking equipment.In addition to SMF support, the module can also operate over multi-mode fibre (MMF) up to 550m when used with a mode-conditioning patch cable, offering flexibility in mixed fibre environments.
