SFP1000BXDST Overview

The StarTech SFP1000BXDST is a 1000Base-BX BiDi SFP transceiver module designed for Gigabit Ethernet communication over a single strand of single-mode fiber. Utilizing Bi-Directional (BiDi) technology, it transmits data at 1490nm and receives at 1310nm, allowing both upstream and downstream communication over one fiber cable, effectively reducing infrastructure costs. With a transmission distance of up to 10 kilometers, it is well-suited for enterprise networks, campus environments, and access networks where fiber resources are limited. The module features a simplex LC connector and complies with IEEE 802.3z standards, ensuring reliable and efficient data transmission.
