The Dell Y2TGK 480GB PCIe 4.0 ×4 NVMe M.2 2280 SSD is an enterprise‑class internal solid‑state drive designed for Dell PowerEdge 14G, 15G, 16G, and 17G servers that support high‑speed NVMe storage. It uses a PCIe 4.0 ×4 interface with the NVMe protocol, giving it much higher throughput and lower latency than traditional SATA drives, which helps accelerate boot times, data access, and application responsiveness in demanding server workloads. This drive is built with 176‑layer 3D TLC NAND flash memory and tuned for read‑intensive use cases with an endurance rating of about 1 Drive Write Per Day (1 DWPD), making it ideal for operating system volumes, virtualization caching, web/application servers, and other environments where frequent reads dominate writes.
