For additional protection, it’s built with magnesium alloy to survive drops from up to 6′ high, as well as Dynamic Thermal Guard technology and a heatsink to keep things cool and prevent throttling. Physical security aside, the X5 also supports password protection via AES 256-bit encryption to keep your data safe. Please note that software updates for the X5 are only supported on Windows PCs
