R1N94A Overview

The HPE R1N94A is a high-speed QSFP28 optical transceiver designed for 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) applications over single-mode fiber (SMF). It supports long-distance links of up to 10 kilometers, making it ideal for enterprise data centers, WANs, and high-performance backbone networks.Operating with a duplex LC connector, the module uses a wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) approach with a 1295.56nm TX and 1304.58nm RX wavelength pair to ensure reliable, low-latency optical transmission. The fully complies with IEEE 802.3ba 100GBase-LR4 standards and QSFP28 MSA specifications, guaranteeing interoperability with HPE switches, routers, and other compatible 100GbE networking devices.
