The RX1223RP from Synology is a 12-bay 2U rackmount storage expansion unit designed to scale the capacity of compatible Synology FlashStation and RackStation servers. Supporting 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SAS/SATA drives, it connects via a high-bandwidth mini-SAS HD cable to allow volume expansion on the fly without system downtime. For enterprise reliability and business continuity, the chassis features redundant power supplies and hot-swappable cooling fans. Managed directly through Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), it delivers a plug-and-play solution for data-intensive storage expansion and backup needs.
