SA6400 Overview
The SA6400 from Synology is an enterprise-class, 12-bay 2U rackmount NAS designed for massive storage scalability and business-critical workloads. Driven by an AMD EPYC 8-core processor and 32GB of DDR4 ECC RDIMM memory (expandable to 1,024GB), it natively accommodates twelve 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SAS/SATA drives and scales up to 108 drives via expansion units. Connectivity features dual 10GbE and quad 1GbE ports, with PCIe 4.0 slots available for network upgrades or NVMe SSD caching. To ensure maximum uptime, the system includes dual redundant power supplies and hot-swappable cooling, all fully managed by Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM).
