The 869252-001 is an enterprise-class 480GB internal 2.5-inch NVMe PCIe x4 solid-state drive engineered by HPE for ProLiant Gen9 servers. Optimized as a “Read Intensive” drive using premium Multi-Level Cell (MLC) NAND flash, it delivers high IOPS performance and ultra-low latency for workloads dominated by data retrieval, such as boot volumes, web serving, and read-heavy databases. By utilizing the high-bandwidth NVMe interface over PCIe x4, it bypasses traditional SATA bottleneck speeds to accelerate application responsiveness. The drive comes pre-installed in an HPE Smart Carrier NVMe (SCN) tray, enabling hot-swap capabilities and providing visual status LEDs to prevent accidental drive removal while active in critical server environments.
