The QNAP is a high-performance, hybrid-architecture 8-bay desktop tower NAS designed to provide enterprise-grade network storage, high-speed iSCSI virtualization, and extensive data backup capabilities for small to medium businesses. Driven by an 8-core Intel Atom C5125 processor clocked at 2.8GHz, this system supports Intel QuickAssist Technology (QAT) to heavily offload compute-intensive compression tasks and optimize IPsec/SSL cryptographic operations. It comes pre-installed with 8GB of non-ECC DDR4 memory, which can be scaled up to 128GB across four UDIMM slots. Notably, the system framework supports upgrading to server-grade ECC memory to guarantee maximum system uptime and block multi-bit data corruption in highly critical production environments.
