The Buffalo is a TAA-compliant, 2U 12-bay enterprise rackmount NAS partially populated with 64TB of capacity via four pre-tested, hot-swappable 16TB enterprise-grade CMR hard drives (leaving 8 bays open for expansion). Driven by a 2.04 GHz Annapurna Labs Alpine AL524 quad-core processor and 16GB of DDR4 ECC RAM, it features dual native 10GbE and dual 1GbE ports to eliminate bandwidth bottlenecks and support port trunking. Operating on a secure, closed Linux-based OS that blocks root access, it uses Btrfs snapshots for license-free ransomware protection and data recovery.
