The MB996SP-6SB (ToughArmor) from Icy Dock is a heavy-duty, full-metal 6-bay hot-swap mobile rack designed to fit up to six 2.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs into a single standard 5.25-inch external drive bay. It utilizes standard SATA 6Gbps interfaces and features a pass-through power system driven by dual 4-pin Molex connectors, maximizing cable management efficiency. Built for rugged industrial, military, and medical systems, the enclosure features an all-metal construction for superior heat dissipation, a user-adjustable 40mm cooling fan, and individual drive LED indicators. Each drive is secured in an Ez-Slide Micro tray with a specialized latch mechanism to prevent accidental drive ejections while allowing for rapid, toolless hot-swapping during continuous system operation.
